There is something sweet, yet powerful and fearsome about unicorns. We are fascinated by them from a young age, and even though we *know* they aren’t real. The feelings of hope and belief in the impossible they inspire are quite real.
I think that’s the innocence of childhood people talk about. Believing in the big dreams. As we get older, we get told no more, we get laughed at, and become self-conscious. Over time we begin shoving the bits and pieces of our big dreams into little pockets of our soul to protect them from ourselves hoping that someday we can believe in ourselves enough to bring them out again.
